Founder’s Message
/>
“Understanding and love is not something that you gain, it exists like a seed in every child. The Hoa Nghiem Primary School was founded as an environment where children can be awakened to their capacity to be wise and loving individuals. Through education, meditation and mindfulness practices, they will enter society as global citizens and contribute with compassionate thoughts and actions.” Senior Venerable Thich Thien Tam.

Dear Families,
Welcome to Hoa Nghiem Primary School, where a commitment to developing wisdom and compassion is at the heart of everything we do as both students and educators. Our mission is to provide your child with a rigorous, innovative learning environment that is underpinned by a framework of Buddhist values and teachings and open to all cultures and creeds.
Situated within the extraordinary grounds of Hoa Nghiem Temple, HNPS is an independent school that is educating and nurturing the next generation of peacemakers, problem solvers and community leaders. Our values are reflected in our school motto: Strong Mind, Good Heart, Global Responsibility. We know that in order to truly thrive, whether now or far into the future, our students will need to develop all aspects of their character: the intellect to pursue even the loftiest dreams, the kind heart to build positive, respectful relationships and the self-awareness to take action in the world.
We recognise the profound impact that quality teaching has on learning achievement and student wellbeing. All educators here at Hoa Nghiem Primary School are committed, experienced individuals who are focused on serving the community. We are motivated by a desire to work with you and your child to provide them with the best possible scholastic setting, and understand the significance and importance of choosing the right environment to shape their development. We sincerely believe that Hoa Nghiem Primary School is that environment.
I thank you for taking the time to find out more about us to see what we can offer you and your child. Please explore this website to learn more, and feel free to join us at any of our upcoming events and open days. I look forward to welcoming you to the close-knit and innovative learning community that we are building.
Sincerely Yours,
Ms Jacqueline Bosman
